Our Belonging Signature™ is the work of James T. Barfoot — clinical hypnotherapist, convener of community practice, and author of Tribalize Now — The Practice of Belonging (2014).
The framework draws on more than twenty years of shamanic training under Bart Anderson, “Ten Bears”, James’s spiritual mentor, nearly forty years of practice as a Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner (James is a Professional member of the National Qigong Association), and decades of clinical work with individuals and groups. It synthesizes Bart’s teaching of the formative and mature attributes (Duty, Devotion, Purpose; Courage, Conviction, Strength) into what James calls the Intentional Core™ — the felt infrastructure of being one of the people, anywhere.
Our Belonging Signature is not a theory. It is a practice — one that holds the slow, patient labor of becoming one of the people, and trusting that we belong.
